Hunting lodge meets modern European interior design– # & what8217;s not to love? From high ceilings into the clean white background, this Bastad hunting lodge is actually one of a kind.
This open-plan house is spacious and is homey with this standard rocky feel seen from the living area, which is full of fluffy white seats and soft grays juxtaposed against forests, white, black seats, and a stunning stone fireplace. A stuffed bird, animal hide rug on the ground, and fern print on the wall around out what is obviously a naturalistic theme!
Take the sitting area as design inspiration. This little corner features hot wooden windows and a dining room, with fabric furnishings in black, white, and grey. The white couch and round coffee table make the space somewhat more homey, even though a mirror and part of art equilibrium the room and supply symmetry.
On to the kitchen, which is a complete contrast from the sitting area. Part of this open floor plan, a slick black fridge adds style while black seats keep the theme going. It’s based around a gorgeous wooden table. A skull on the wall adds a few hunter flair. The counter area has gleaming grey cabinets and grey and white marble tile which makes this motif contemporary, not dated. Insert a few candles and a fish head on the wall, and you’re all set.
Now go upstairs to the attic via wooden ladder stairs. The sleeping loft is less active than the rest of the home. Simple white walls and beds with light linens provide a relaxing setting, while the hardwood flooring and windows offer a little rustic contrast. A wonderful lamp and a framed photograph complete this tranquil space.
Serene but with a little light blue, the master bedroom is the place to be. Warm open wooden windows, white walls, a wooden headboard/side tables using a hanging white lamp encourage stability and comfort. A overhead lamp and framed photograph add a bit more to the space, though a light blue comforter and understated patterned linens make this the ideal place to fall asleep or have coffee and read the paper in the morning. Wooden bunk beds in the other bedroom are amazing for guests, especially children.
A paved patio outside with wicker chairs and table finishes this searching lodge-inspired residence. But wait, before you go: one last clean room with rustic touches. The hallway is pure white with a wooden door frame. With grey tile and an understated hall table, it’s the ideal introduction to this home and what to expect going ahead.
