With Local Materials and Tropical Detailing, the Fashion Designer Dreams Up a Family Retreat in the British West Indies. “I wondered, How do I bring Bali three and a half hours away?” Says fashion designer Donna Karan, who envisioned a simple, contemporary beach house on Parrot Cay, in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Architects and interior designers Enrico Bonetti and Dominic Kozerski collaborated with architect Cheong Yew Kuan to make the complicated–“a union of East and West,” Karan says–that comprises three bedrooms and three open-air pavilions.
