Any professional interior designer will say how the classic homes are developed with a classy contemporary touch. This is a common trend that’s been used in several houses for the sake of improving the elegance and boosting uniqueness.
Talking of uniqueness, here’s a sneak peek of a excellent bungalow that’s been created from the Venice Beach by an interior design expert, Marissa Cramer. Marissa is the owner of a leading interior design firm, Produced Co, http://www.madeco.la/. With her design savviness, she was able to craft this incredible 100-year old cabin in the famous Venice Beach.
Why is this home unique?
Among the apparent fact which makes this cabin worth speaking about is its place. It’s in the Abbott Kinney area, and only a couple of steps from the sea. The home is a small bungalow that’s developed with spectacular qualities which make it cozy enough. Marissa remains with the boyfriend, and she concentrated on making the home bright, welcoming, with a few contemporary touch, while still keeping the traditional touches.
Areas of focus in the home
1. Dining Room
This area was developed using a white oak dining table, an Olympus Mons Printing, brushed metal mirror, metal bistro chairs, linen upholstery finish chairs, a fashionable chandelier, and an area rug.
A built-in pub is also contained in the dining area, though it had been fitted with the original designer. But, Marissa did some upgrades by including two or three brass knobs for an excess level of elegance. She also maintained the layout of these windows to foster the inflow of pure lighting to the room.
2. The Kitchen
The kitchen includes ceramic tiles, a brass pendant, brass knobs, a butcher bock countertop, a white/brass flush mount light, a couple of decorative throw pillows, and some framed prints.
This is the area around the home that was additional rusty. Originally, there were vinyl flooring, together with a purple fitted seat. The cabinets weren’t removed, though they were refurbished with a new white paint and brass T-pulls.
3. The Living Room
This area contains a sectional couch, a table, and a coffee table. Also, there’s a blush velvet accent char, a bookcase, a walnut console, an area rug, throw pillows, a grey linen drapery, amongst others.
Marissa painted the wall with a dark, moody blue paint for an additional relaxing atmosphere. The colour picked is versatile determined by the time of the day.
The bedroom includes 2 nightstands; a Tate upholstered bed with linen duvet, drapery and curtain rods, a dresser, along with a round mirror.
It includes a mix of femininity and masculinity to satisfy the personalities of Marissa and the boyfriend. The walls are painted grey, while the curtains are navy velvet, and there’s also a little brass and blush.
Although this house is 100 years old, Marissa has managed to transform it into a spectacular haven that’s welcoming, vibrant, and fashionable too.
