Parisian Flair in a Swedish Apartment
Lovers of Parisian design will love this slick Swedish apartment! We’re checking out the plan of the Stockholm apartment to determine what makes it tick. If you love European style, you’ll definitely be fascinated with the interior design of the area.
French windows open up the living room, allowing loads of light in. Accent your home with the long, light gray curtains seen here. This chamber has a mostly grey and white theme, with very light grey walls and hardwood flooring. A lavish blue-gray couch or two like those found here with patterned throw pillows are the chairs, using a round dark coffee table and a brazen zebra-pattern rug and a white footstool to anchor the space. Bring everything together using a bigger than life framed black and white photograph or favorite piece of artwork behind your couch with smaller ones to either side as seen here.
On into the kitchen, where a black kitchen table and chairs and blue cabinets dominate the space. This is counteracted by the mild white walls, but the lighter blue cabinets offer a wonderful balance between the dark and light. Smooth gray and white marble countertops make hanging out in this room with a glass of wine seem like what to do. Three extended hanging gold lamps over the table, gold knobs, a gold sink and a framed photograph lift up this room and keep it from being overly weighted down.
This flat really drives home the clean appearance with mainly white walls and adding on top of that. It’s almost like the distance is a literal canvas and things are being judiciously added one by one.
There are little quirks, like having one big and one small square picture hanging in the hallway, or a fitting grey headboard and curtains in the master bedroom with calming taupe walls plus a waffle blanket over the bed. The alternating imitation marble and hardwood flooring really warm up what could be an otherwise sterile appearance. A rounded mirror or piece of artwork in the ideal place doesn’t hurt either!
And needless to say, why not make the majority of your bathroom marble instead of just a part of it? Whether real or imitation, using marble to your sink counter, walls and shower creates a uniform, monochrome look that’s broken up by pick bronze fittings… and at the bidet area by vibrant indigo patterned background.
Finally, show your guests to the door with this sleek, patterned hardwood flooring and a rectangle throw rug on top. European style has never seemed so good!
